About Us
Founder and Managing Director of WB Mariam Keen is committed to providing a high level of personal representation in all media.
WB represents a growing stable of storytellers including individuals with a high media profile in a variety of fields.
Mariam graduated from King’s College London and prior to launching the agency worked with Darley Anderson and Ali Gunn.
Please note it is agency policy not to publish client list.
Submission Guidelines
The agency only accepts submissions via email.
Submissions should be marked for the attention of the Submissions Department and sent to info@whisperingbuffalo.com
For fiction please send a brief biography, one page synopsis and first three chapters (double-spaced) as a attachment in word document format.
For non-fiction please send a proposal and sample chapter.
We are unable to offer editorial advice on submissions we choose not to take on.
We regret that due to the volume of submissions received we can only respond to those we wish to pursue further.
We aim to respond within six to eight weeks of submission date.
Remit
Whispering Buffalo is building its list and welcomes unsolicited submissions. The agency handles:
Commercial and literary fiction - all genres
Commercial non-fiction
Children’s and young adult fiction
Whispering Buffalo has a special interest in book to screen adaptations and Mariam personally handles the sale of film and TV rights in clients' work.
The agency currently handles film, TV, radio and theatre scripts for author clients only.
The agency does not handle textbooks or poetry.
The agency does not charge a reading fee.
